The Terra Centre PTA exists to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship; to raise the standards of home life; to secure adequate laws for the protection and care of children and youth; to bring into closer relation the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth; and to develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education. |

The PTA is led by five elected officers and has a variety of committees and subcommittees.
We are also lucky enough to have two teacher representatives who provide invaluable professional experience and guidance. |

What Do We Really Accomplish? |
|
A lot! We sponsor fun events that foster a sense of community at TC as well as raise money for teacher training, P.E and computer equipment, and books. The PTA provides parent education opportunities, student assemblies and after school activities. We also vote on important legislature that affects education in Fairfax County. Perhaps most importantly, we give parents the opportunity to be active participants in their child's education. |
