Why should I become a PTA member? |
Membership in PTA means:
- Investing in our children's future
- Having a voice in what happens in our children's school (membership allows you to vote)
- Communicating with local and state decision makers on issues and concerns facing today’s children
- Growing personally and professionally through leadership development
- Obtaining valuable resources and materials on parenting, education, health, and safety topics
- Uniting with a national association that advocates exclusively on behalf of all children

Who can become a member? |
Just about anyone can be a member of Terra Centre PTA - not just parents and teachers. Relatives, community members, local business representatives can all join to show support for the school and have a voice in decision making. An individual who pays dues to a local unit automatically becomes a member of the state and national PTAs. People belonging to more than one PTA must pay membership dues to each local unit they join. |
How much does it cost to become a member? |
Membership costs $8.50 per person (payment in cash or by check payable to “Terra Centre PTA”). You pay only once; there are no additional dues or fees. Membership will be valid until October 31 of the next school year. |
What do I have to do to become a member? |
You can join anytime! Just download the membership form, print it, complete it and drop it off at the school office or send it in in your child's backpack. For more information, please contact our Membership Chairman. |
What is the money collected from dues used for? |
The membership dues paid by each member not only support Terra Centre, but also include a state portion, established by the state bylaws, and a national portion, established by national bylaws. For more information see the National PTA Website |
